LIFE OF DAVID – Part 4

David, the man KATA God’s own heart, part 3

A.   David’s life can be divided into two major periods.

            1.   Birth to Thirty: advancement into supergrace – a life far beyond what he could ask or imagine.

                        c.    King David’s recovery, Psa 32; 51.

            4.   David’s heart for fellowship with God, Acts 2:25; Psa 16:8; Psa 89:15.

            5.   David’s heart for sanctification, Psa 23:1; 27:4, 8-9.

            6.   David’s heart of patience regarding the POG, cf. Psalm 27:14; 37; 130:5; Hosea 12:6; Micah 7:7; Psa 37:7; Prov 20:22; Psa 106:13-15; 1 Pt 5:5-6; Heb 6:12-15; Eph 4:1; 2 Tim 4:2; 1 Thess 5:14-18; Col 1:9-11; Isa 30:18; 64:4;

            7.   David’s heart of humility,  Psa 78:70; 89:19-21; Num 12:3.

            8.   David’s heart of integrity, Psa 78:72.

            9.   David’s heart had the capacity for solitude.
